It's time for another challenge at Open Minded Crafting Fun. (#28- Movie Inspiration). One of the sponsors is Sassy Studio Designs.  As a SSD DT member I made a card for the challenge.  There are so many great images at Sassy Studio Designs that would work for this challenge.  I decided to use one of the many "Wizard of OZ" images and make a side step card.  I use the "Oz Sassy".

Raise a Glass

Christmas has come and gone. And 2014 is almost over.
Where did the year go?  Will anyone else spend the next few times writing a check after Jan 1st and writing 2014 for the date? I know you're saying "Who still writes checks?" I do.  I don't trust all the "Automatic banking".

I didn't have a die the right size for the long piece behind the image.  So I used the 3rd die from the center to create the shape.

drew the shape on the cardstock 

placed & taped the die on one end of the shape

placed the "C" plate so it didn't cut all the way down 

moved the die to the other end 

again placed the "C" plate not over the entire die 

after the ends were cut 

finished the cuts with my x-acto 

finished piece. Just need to erase lines (or use other side)

Birthday Present 4 U

This month (actually August) Sassy Studio Designs is one of the sponsors for the challenge at Crafting by Designs. The challenge is "Anything Goes".  I had this image sitting on my desk in a pile of images.  I thought, let's use it and make a Birthday card. I also got the DP pack a couple weeks earlier at a Stamp & Scrap Show and wanted to use some of the papers.

I added the 7 dwarfs names to the yellow DP in 3 different fonts and colors.

I popped up the image on homemade red foam squares.  I added a smaller image on the inside.

I think these new images are so fun.  Lindsay is so creative. When she told the DT about the new line of images and wondered what to call them, she asked for suggestions. I said what about "Buttercream Babes". The name stuck.
