Oops I did it again.

Wow, I can't believe it.  I got "Best in Show" at the Hambo Hoedown for a 2nd week. I love their challenges.  Making a circle card was out of the box for me. But it was perfect because I got a Slice glass cutting mat for Christmas. (It was on Clearance at JoAnn's for like $6.00)  I don't have a Slice but had read that using  a glass cutting mat with a circle cutter worked well. And it WAS so nice cutting the circles with my MS Circle Cutter on the glass mat.

Thank you again to everyone who made this win possible.  I enjoyed coloring the "Plate Spinner" and putting this card together.  Now it's off to start on this week's challenge.  You can find it here and join along.

Platespinning

Played along again this week at the Hambo Hoedown.
This week's challenge was a round card  with spirals or swirls.  I got the "Plate Spinner" digi free since I played along last week.  I found the orange paper with the swirls on the back of some Halloween paper. I figured... Perfect!  And the main background paper has the "spirally" circles.  Also perfect.  I decided to make it an easel card. I cut the sentiment (inside and out) panels with swirls also. And hand drew swirls on the edges with my Copics.

I popped up the orange circle and sentiment and popped up the image above it.  The inside sentiment was also popped up.

I can't wait to see what next week's digi and challenge is going to be.  They always come up with something great.

I Did It!

I did it! I won the challenge for my card last week at the Hambo Hoedown
 http://hambochallenges.blogspot.com/

This is the first time I've won a card challenge.  I like the Hambo Hoedown because if you play along and submit a project, they send you a free digi set that you can use for the next week's challenge if you like.  I found out about the Hambo Hoedown from Lyn (screen name: Rebeccaof) on Split Coast Stampers.  http://splitcoaststampers.com  Also one of my favorite sites.

I'd like to thank Lyn for telling me about the Hambo Hoedown.
Monica & Tim at Hambo for having such a great site and challenges.
All those who left comments.
My nephew, Sean, for being adopted so I could make you a card and have the paper left over to make this card.
All those who helped to make this win possible.

Now it's off to start on the card for next week.

Hambo Hoedown 98

I played along again this week in the Hambo Hoedown.  http://hambochallenges.blogspot.com/  Because I played last week I received the refrigerator digi for free. This week's challenge was "Leftovers".
I used some argyle patterned paper I had left after making a card for my nephew's adoption back in September of 2010.  The heart button is also from the buttons I got for the adoption card.

Hambo Hoedown 97

This weeks challenge at the Hambo Hoedown http://hambochallenges.blogspot.com/
was to use "FELT" on the project.  I also got the "Penguin Snowball" digi free since I played along last week.

(note that all the snowballs have hearts on them.)

I got ambitious this week and created 2 cards.  On both cards I cut the felt into strips and Xyroned them to a piece of card stock.
The sentiments were computer generated.
I colored the images with Copic markers.

First Post

This is the first post on my new blog.  Just trying things out. It's what ever I am interested in at the moment.  It could be crafts, car shows, food, whatever.  Enjoy.
