The Librarian

What is the best name for a Librarian? (answer at bottom of post)

One of this week's sponsors at  {Pin}spirational Challenges (#81) is Sassy Studio Designs.  As a SSD DT member I played along.  Here is the challenge picture for this week.

A lot of things came to mind when I saw the pic.  But the main theme for me was Books and Adventure.  So that's what I based my card on.

Stuff I Used:
Image-Velma digital image by Sassy Studio Designs
Colored with Copics
Skin-E00, E11
Lips-R20, R22
Hair-E31, E34, E25
Glasses-R35, R37, B41
Skirt/shoes-R35, R37, R39
Sweater-G00, G12
Socks-G00, G12, R25, R37. B41
Book-Y21, BG01, B02
DP-My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus pack  (I got this pack at Michaels.  They had a bunch of different packs on Clearance for $5.  I got 3 differnt packs)
Card stock- the Paper Company Vintage and Cool Mint packs
Background photo- a photo I took of the bookcase next to my desk
Diecut-Spellbinders Labels Four
Ribbon-Offray Spool 'O Ribbon 1/8" pink
Sentiment-Computer generated

I made my card a Gift Card holder. I think it works perfect for the "Barnes & Noble" book store gift card.  I popped up the image on homemade black foam squares. And added a smaller image and more DP on the inside.
Hopefully I have {Pin}spired you to join in and play along this week at {Pin}spirational Challenges.  You could win free images from the sponsors.

Now that you've read all the way through the post, the answer to the question at the beginning .

Baby Congrats

There's a new challenge at the Hambo Hoedown. The challenges are now bi-monthly.  A new challenge comes out the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.  This time the challenge is to use a non-traditional image for a baby card.
Here is what I came up with.

Stuff I Used:
Image-King digital stamp by Hambo Stamps
Colored with PrismaColor markers
Skin-PM-72 Ivory, PM-71 Beige
Hair-PM-109 Cold Grey 20%, PM-111 Cold Grey 40%
Robe-PM-59 Lavender, PM-100 Warm Grey 20%, PM-104 Warm Grey 60%
Shoes-PM-69 Yellow Ochre
Crown, horn-Studio g Gold pen
DP-DCWV Stack 8 pack
Background-Voila Tissue paper
Card stock-the Paper Company Cool Mint pack
Sentiment-Computer generated

I decided to make an easel card for this project. I used dry bond adhesive sheet to adhere the tissue to white card stock.  I popped up the image and inside sentiment panel on homemade light blue foam squares.
This was an interesting challenge. And fun to think outside of the box.

Thanx for looking and please comment.

This was a fun card to make.  It was different making a square card. (4 1/4 x 4 1/4).  I hope you can play along.

A Sweetie for Halloween

There was a mix up with the sponsorships and some got to see this a little early (Shhhhhh!)  So this is my second card for Artistic Inspirations Challenge's "Anything Goes".  Being that Sassy Studio Designs is the sponsor and I am a member of the SSD DT, I created this card.  Being that it was a "Halloween Colors" theme, I wanted something a little different.  So after looking through the Sassy Studio Designs images, I found the this image.  And it's not the witch or mummy or even the vampire slayer.  What do you think?

I popped up the image on homemade yellow foam squares. I added a smaller image (great thing about digital images) and more DP to the inside.
I hope you like what I created and play along at Artistic Inspirations Challenges.

Thanx for looking and please comment.
