Lets Spring into Something Fresh

___________________________________________________________
This is the 2nd post of the day.  If you're looking for the FB challenge, see the previous post for today.  But since you're here, join in the Hop fun.

Well it's finally here.  The February Release/Hop at Sassy Studio Designs.

It's been a while since we've had a Release/Hop.  This time the theme is "Spring / Fresh".  And the challenge is "Anything But a Card". The Design Team has come up with some great projects.  Some of the images showcased are "re-releases (and updates)" of past images.  And there are some new images Lindsay has created.  All of them are amazing.
I am honored to be the first site in this Hop.  So if you didn't come here from the SSD site, you only have to go back 1 site to be at the beginning.
Now that you are here, let me show you what I created. Since it's "Anything But a Card", and what is "Fresher" than the smell of Lavender, I constructed a box to hold 3 Lavender Sachets.

foam core pieces

box assembled (hadn't cut hole in lid yet)

The image I was given to work with is the "Clover" image.  As you can see, it doesn't have to be just for St Patrick's Day.

Stuff I Used:
Image-Clover digital image by Sassy Studio Designs
Colored with Copics
Skin-E00, E11
Lips-R30, R32
Eyes-G02, G05
Hair-E31, E34, E25
Hat/outfit/shoes-YG03, YG06, V12, V15, Y23, Y26, W1, YG61, YG63
DP-Wild Asparagus by My Minds Eye
Cardstock-Butterfly Wings pack by Recollections
Foam Core-3/16 white by Elmer's
Felt-Classic felt in lavender
Ribbon-Offray Spool 'O' Ribbon 1/4" green
Acetate-for window opening
Diecut-Glitter diecuts by K&Company gold
Lavender sachets-3 pack from Michaels

The box is 5" wide x 7 1/4" high x 1 3/4" deep.  I popped up the "Clover" image on homemade lavender foam squares.  The ribbon was added to make it easier to get the sachets out of the box.
This was a fun project.  I like making boxes to store things in out of Foam core. I've made boxes for my Dew Drop and studio g ink pads, my Adirondack ink and Stickles bottles and my Copics, just to name a few.
After you comment, it's off to Jackie's Blog to see what she's created.
Here is the entire Hop list.

Don't forget to comment on each of the DT's blogs for a chance to win some terrific prizes.

Thanx for looking and please comment.
