I am also entering my card at Freshly Made Sketches (#102) this week.  A new sketch comes out every Wednesday.  I've been following their site for a while.

Milkshake Girl

Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry,Mint chocolate chip....  What's your favorite milkshake flavor? Have you tried all 25 at Sonic? (I haven't)    This week's "Dare To Be Sassy Thursday" challenge at Sassy Studio Designs is "Cocktail Time" (have a beverage somewhere on your creation, either in the image, paper, ribbon...)  It doesn't have to be an alcoholic beverage.  Since I don't like the taste of alcohol, I went a different direction.  I thought the "Sock Hop Sweetie 2" image would be perfect.  And I went with a 50's theme.  And when I think of the 50's, the first thing  I think of is Malts & milkshakes (after cool cars and cruising).  So here is my beverage related card.

As you can see I made just about everything on this card. I guess I figure if I can't find what I need, I just make it.  hahaha

Hope you like my take on the challenge and join in.  You could win 2 free images from Sassy Studio Designs.  And if you use a SSD image, you can enter twice.

Caught a Bug?

It's time for another challenge at the Hambo Hoedown.  And this week I was chosen to be a Guest Designer.  I have been playing along for quite some time with the Hambo Hoedown challenges.  First I would like to thank Lyn at My Purple House for introducing me to the Hambo Hoedown.  When they asked me to be a Guest Designer, I was thrilled.
This week's challenge is a sketch.  Sometimes when given a sketch, it takes a while to come up with an idea.  This was not the case this time.  Here is the sketch.

It was a change to make a card that wasn't the usual A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") size.  When I scaled the sketch, the card ended up being 4 1/4" x 7 3/8".  And here is my card.

It was a great thrill to chosen as a Guest Designer.  I always enjoy seeing what images and challenges they have for everyone.  Join in and you'll get hooked.

Word Search

Just like this week's challenge at the Hambo Hoedown was called "Word Search", I found it to be a "Creativity search" for me.  The challenge was to use either this week's digi (Word Search) or any Hambo stamp image and the use 2 or 3 things that start with any letter. (ie. B-blue, button, black, brad  T-twine, turtle, twisted easel) So I thought about it and kept running through letters and things.  Then I finally decided on "P" and used Pencil, Paper (Washi) tape and Purple. It was also different to not have an image to color.  So here's my "P" card.

inside (sorry it looks so blurry)

Stuff I Used:
Image-Word Search digital image by Hambo Stamps
Cardstock-Recollections Purple Passion pack
Paper (Washi) tape- unfortunately I threw away the tag from the tape
Pencil-scanned #2 Staples pencil the covered with Glossy Accents

I popped up the Word Search image on homemade foam squares.  This was the first time I used the paper tape. I've collected about 46 rolls and never used them. I do that, when I buy something, I have to have every one in the series.   Is anyone else like that or am I the only one with this problem?
I think it turned out pretty good for not having any idea what to do in the beginning.

Thanx for looking and please comment.
