Effie Thank You

It's Thursday. Time for the next Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge #308 "Give Thanks" at Sassy Studio Designs. At first I was just thinking "Thanksgiving" themed cards.  Then I thought, "Why not just a Thank You card".  So that's what I made.  And being that the last "Hunger Games" movie (Mockingjay part 2) comes out tomorrow, I thought I'd use an Effie Trinket image. I made a side step card this time.

Spring Day

Spring is finally here. At least it will be after a short chill we had here in Pennsylvania.  Time for Sassy Studio Designs' last Sponsorship Challenge of April.  This time it's over at Incy Wincy Designs.  The theme is "Spring/Green".  After this month's Release/Hop at Sassy Studio Designs, I knew I had to use the new "Day at the Park" image.

I created a Z-fold card for something different this time.

We Need to Talk

Can you believe that June is half over? That means it's time for the next Facebook Monthly Challenge in the Sassy Studio Designs Group.  If you haven't joined, what are you waiting for?  This month's challenge is a little different.  This time around it's "5 for $5". There are 5 images from the past that have been bundled together.  They are only $1 each!  The Sassy Studio Designs Facebook DT members  have divided the images to showcase each of them.  I chose the "Cell Phone Cindy" image.  And decided to make a step card.

It was fun working with one of Lindsay's original images.  This would be a great time to pick up some of her original images before they are retired again.  And they're only $1 each for the bundle of 5.  How can you beat that?  After you comment, head over to the Sassy Studio Designs Facebook Group (join if you haven't already), get the images and join in the fun.

Thanx for looking and please comment.

We'll Miss You

I played along as part of the Sassy Studio DT with this week's challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. It is sketch #39 this week and is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.  Here is the sketch.

So here's my take on it.

Brads-stash
Front sentiment-Computer generated
Inside sentiment- DCWV "Quote Reference Book" book 4 computer generated

I popped up the sentiment and images on homemade black foam squares.
I carried the main shapes from the front to the inside of the card.

The card is bigger than a normal A2 card. I made it 5 x 6 1/4.  It is proportional to a A2 card.  I made it bigger so I could make the images larger to color.

This was a fun sketch.

Here are a couple pics of some of the stuff I used.
the DP stack.  I got this at Michael's a couple weeks ago on sale for $5.  Lots of great heavy weight paper.

the container of paper and silk purple flowers.

I popped up the image and sentiment on homemade pink foam squares.  And I printed a smaller Effie on the inside of the card.

Like I stated in my other post, I usually make a birthday card for a specific person and gear it towards them. This was different making a generic card.  But it was still fun.
Hope you like it.

Blowing you Kisses

I played along with the Squigglefly Challenge #6 (SFC0613) this week. You can find it here.  The challenge was to use "Pink and Black".  I remembered I had some pink and black paper in a Christmas pack.  Perfect!    Most of the strips came from one sheet. The main striped background was a different sheet.

Stuff I used:
Image- Squigglefly Digi "I'll blow you a kiss"
Colored with Copics
Dress- RV04, RV06, RV19
Skin- E11, E13, E15, R20
Hair- C3, C5, C7, C9
DP- DCWV The Christmas Stack
Pink & Black brads
Paper flowers

I popped the image up on homemade foam squares. The flowers/brads were attached with homemade adhesive dots.  I enjoyed taking part in the challenge.  I think this was the second Squigglefly challenge I've played along with.  Can't wait for the next one.

Thanx for looking and please let me know what you think.
