Birthday Tink

It's time again for another "Dare To Be Sassy Thursday" at Sassy Studio Designs.  This week's challenge is to "Show Your True Colors" (use your favorite color combo).  My favorite color is blue.  But I always thought that the color combo of  "Purple and Lime Green" was a great combination.  So that's the combo I chose.

SO that's one of my favorite color combos.  What's yours? Join us at the Sassy Studio Designs DTBST challenge #186 this week.  You could win 2 free images.

Caught a Bug?

It's time for another challenge at the Hambo Hoedown.  And this week I was chosen to be a Guest Designer.  I have been playing along for quite some time with the Hambo Hoedown challenges.  First I would like to thank Lyn at My Purple House for introducing me to the Hambo Hoedown.  When they asked me to be a Guest Designer, I was thrilled.
This week's challenge is a sketch.  Sometimes when given a sketch, it takes a while to come up with an idea.  This was not the case this time.  Here is the sketch.

It was a change to make a card that wasn't the usual A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") size.  When I scaled the sketch, the card ended up being 4 1/4" x 7 3/8".  And here is my card.

Leave Me a Message

"Thank you for calling. I'm not on my blog right now. Please leave me a message." Then head on over to the Hambo Hoedown and join in this week's challenge.  This week's image is "Bad Connection". And the challenge is to use "Office Supplies".  I loved using things that you wouldn't think of using on a card.  So here's what I came up with.

"HELLO"-Self Stick Index tabs by Barbara Thomas Enterprises, Inc

I popped up the front image on homemade pink foam squares.  I adhered the carbon paper with my Xyron. And added a smaller image to the inside.  I printed the inside sentiment directly on the Post-It.

I hope this gave you some ideas on how you can use non-traditional items on your cards.
Now lets see what you can create.

Thanx for looking and please leave me some comment love.

Let it Snow

Time for the next Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge at Sassy Studio Designs.  If you haven't played along, you should head on over and join in.  You could win your choice of 2 SSD images.  How about we escape the heat of summer and go for a "Christmas in July".  (Unless you live in the southern hemisphere, where it's summer at Christmas time). How's your summer going?  Are you staying cool if you live in the areas that are getting the heat wave?
Well on to the card.

Here is what I came up with.

As American as...

This is my 1st week as a DT member at Sassy Studio Designs on the "Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenges".  I can't believe how fast the first 3 months have gone by.  Now I said it's on to the DTBST challenges.  This week's challenge was a "Patriotic" card (red, white and blue) in honor of the 4th of July here in the U.S.
