I added the clear glitter pen to the snowflakes on the embossed velum panel (it doesn't show well in the pictures), the glitter foam snowflakes, the gem on the boot and glitter on the DP (Brrrrrr & LET IT SNOW).

When I started coloring the image I didn't like the way it was turning out (I colored the face and hair 3 times).  Even when I was adding the shading on the paper piecing, I wasn't happy.  After I cut out the coat and hat and added it to the image with the rest of the coloring, I was happily surprised with how it looked. I popped up the image on homemade blue foam squares.

Very Happy Birthday

It's Thursday.  It's time for the last DTBST challenge (#244 Make a card for someone you love) of August at Sassy Studio Designs.  Where has this year gone?  I couldn't pick just one person that would fit the challenge, so I made a general "Fun" card.
I just got a bunch of DP packs at JoAnn's a few weeks ago when they were on sale for like $5 each (regularly $20 each).  So I used one of the packs.  I saw a card using a velum strip for the front sentiment and  liked the way it looked.

Birthday Tink

It's time again for another "Dare To Be Sassy Thursday" at Sassy Studio Designs.  This week's challenge is to "Show Your True Colors" (use your favorite color combo).  My favorite color is blue.  But I always thought that the color combo of  "Purple and Lime Green" was a great combination.  So that's the combo I chose.

I used iridescent vellum for Tink's wings.  It has a green sheen that isn't showing up in the pics.  I popped up the image on homemade purple foam squares.  I tied the bow with my Bow-Easy.  I added a smaller copy of Tink along with more DP and ribbon to the inside.
