Rainbow Disney

It's Friday! (Even though it's the 13th!) It's time for the next "Flashback Friday" at Sassy Studio Designs.  This week's image is from July 2013.  It's the Disney Fan Sassy

This is a fun image.  It would be great for cards (a well wishes for someone going to Disney, Disney fan birthday, etc.) or scrapbooking.  I made a birthday card.

I redrew the balloon and colored them in CorelDRAW to match the DP. I printed them along with a smaller image and the sentiment on the base card stock.  I cut the card stock so it has a 3" front flap.  I popped up the image on foam squares.
After you comment, head over to the Sassy Studio Designs Store and pick up the "Disney Fan Sassy" image.  You know you will get a lot of use from this image.

Thanx for looking and please comment.

Flashback to the 80's Release

Are you ready for "like" a "totally righteous" and "fresh" release? It's a flashback to the 80's release and hop this month at Sassy Studio Designs.  And it's in conjunction with Corrosive Challenges. So break out your shoulder pads, mini skirts, leg warmers, Izods, Member's Only jackets, parachute pants, Wayfarers, stretch stirrup pants and over size tops.  Pop in your favorite Madona, INXS, Flock of Seagulls, Pet Shop Boys, Bryan Adams cassette. And join us as we Flashback to the 80's.
You  should have gotten here from Jasmine's blog (with Corrosive Challenges).  If not you can start at the beginning by going HERE.
Before we get to my project, I thought I'd share a few pics of me from the 80's.

Gotta love the acid washed jeans and Lisa's "Cosby" style sweater. (circa 1989)

Off to the Prom. Could Dorene's dress get any "puffier" or "shinier"? And what about my grey tails and mini mullet? (circa May 1987)  BTW I still have the car. (I bought it brand new in April 1985)

Told you I still have the car.  Now it only goes out to car shows. (circa 2012)

Okay, let's jump in a Delorean and get back to the future and back to the crafting.  Here's what I created.

I added a smaller image and more colored DP to the inside.  This was a fun card to make. Lots of colors! And it was the first time I used the shrink plastic. If you've never used it before. It's a lot of fun. You just have to remember to make the image about 2 1/2 -3 times bigger than your finished size. And to make the image 30-50% of full color saturation.  It will get darker.

Now it's off to Mary's blog to see what she created.  If you missed anyone on the hop, here's the full list.

Do you want to win these "gnarly" images. DUH. So don't be a "Joanie", leave a comment on each person's blog and answer the trivia questions and you could win them.

Well I gotta Book.
Leave some love and Hop on.

Irish Dancer

I got to play along again at "Imagine That!".  It's a progressive challenge.  Meaning, if you play along, follow the rules and submit your project before the deadline.  You are e-mailed the next image(s) for free.  This was the 2nd challenge at "Imagine That!" digis by Kris.  Check it out here.  This time it was an Irish Dancer theme.  I chose the "Kathleen" and "sentiment" for my card. I didn't go the traditional St Patrick's colors.

Stuff I Used:
Image-Kathleen Irish Dancer by Imagine That! digis by Kris
Colored with Copics
Skin-E00, E11
Hair-YR02, R24, E08
Dress-YG03, YG06, YG63, B21, B24
Socks-B91, C1
Gold knots on Dress-American Crafts gold gel pen
Sentiment-Imagine That! digis by Kris
DP-Core Couture Blue Diamonds, We R Memory Keepers White Out Collection Explore-Roam
Swirls-Le Pen Brown

I drew some brown (it looks black in the photo) swirls behind the image to mimic the swirls on the DP. The light blue panel behind the image is very sparkly, but doesn't show up much in the photo.

I enjoy the challenges at "Imagine That!". And the images are great to color.  Check it out and join in.

I think I heard Kathleen say that if you commented, she would come to your house and dance for you.

Patty 'O Monkey

Played along again this week at the Hambo Hoedown.  This week's challenge was to add rainbow colors along with a Hambo image.  I used the "Monkey Irish" image I got free for playing along last week.
