Oh La La Paris

L'amour est dans l'air cette semaine à {Pin}spirational défis. (Love is in the air this week at {Pin}spirational challenges.) #82  Here's the pic for this week.

Here is what I created.

Unlike most of my cards in the past, I didn't color an image.  Instead I used different papers from this pack.

I made the pink glitter strip by running a strip of pink card stock through my Xyron twice (once on each side).  And then covering one side with glitter.
I used the pink and purple glitter.
I popped up the center image on homemade black foam squares.

This was a pretty simple card.  I also didn't put anything on the inside like I usually do.

Thanx for looking and please comment.

Popcorn Time

Let's all go to the mo-vies.  Let's all go to the mo-vies. Let's all go to the mo-vies. But first I'll join the Hoe-down.  I think you should do the same. Join the fun at the Hambo Hoedown. This week there's a new freebie if you played along (and used a Hambo image) last week.  This week the image is "Wee Henrietta Popcorn" She's so cute with her bucket of popcorn.  And this week's challenge is to "Pop up those designs with dimension".  This was pretty easy for me since I seem to always pop up my main image.  So I wanted to make something a little different.

Stuff I Used:
Image-Wee Henrietta Popcorn digital image by Hambo Stamps
Colored with PrismaColor markers
Skin-PM74 Beige
Hair-PM66 Burnt Ochre, PM64 Sienna Brown
Popcorn box-PM5 Scarlett Lake, PM109 Cool Grey 20%
Pants-PM48 Non Photo Blue, PM47 Light Blue
Shoes-PM100 Warm Grey 20%, PM104 Warm Grey 60%
Shirt/bow-PM16 Bittersweet, PM14 Vermillion, PM2 Chinese Red
DP- I think I got it at Michaels
Sentiment-Wee Henrietta Popcorn by Hambo Stamps

I decided to make a slid out card. I hand drew the popcorn and popped it up on the sentiment panel. I created the pattern for the popcorn box and cut it out of card stock.  I popped up Wee Henrietta on 2 layers of homemade black foam squares so it would be above the popcorn layer.  I also popped up Henrietta's hands and popcorn on more black foam squares.  This card has some dimension!

I am also entering my card in the challenge at
Paper Make Up Stamps- Digi Makeover Challenge #106 (Motion Card)

Thanx for looking and please comment.

Thank You x 3

Wow! I can't believe I won "Best in Show" at the Hambo Hoedown this past week.  I love their challenges.  Last week's challenge was to use a Hambo stamp image ( I got the "Bailey Rocks free since I played along the previous week) and "add some metal".  My submission post is here.   I thought I'd go a little different and make my card a "Double Dutch fold" card that I learned about at Split Coast Stampers. See it here

Thanks again to everyone.  Now it's off to start on this week's challenge.  Check it out here and play along.

Oops I did it again.

Wow, I can't believe it.  I got "Best in Show" at the Hambo Hoedown for a 2nd week. I love their challenges.  Making a circle card was out of the box for me. But it was perfect because I got a Slice glass cutting mat for Christmas. (It was on Clearance at JoAnn's for like $6.00)  I don't have a Slice but had read that using  a glass cutting mat with a circle cutter worked well. And it WAS so nice cutting the circles with my MS Circle Cutter on the glass mat.

Thank you again to everyone who made this win possible.  I enjoyed coloring the "Plate Spinner" and putting this card together.  Now it's off to start on this week's challenge.  You can find it here and join along.

I Did It!

I did it! I won the challenge for my card last week at the Hambo Hoedown
 http://hambochallenges.blogspot.com/

This is the first time I've won a card challenge.  I like the Hambo Hoedown because if you play along and submit a project, they send you a free digi set that you can use for the next week's challenge if you like.  I found out about the Hambo Hoedown from Lyn (screen name: Rebeccaof) on Split Coast Stampers.  http://splitcoaststampers.com  Also one of my favorite sites.

I'd like to thank Lyn for telling me about the Hambo Hoedown.
Monica & Tim at Hambo for having such a great site and challenges.
All those who left comments.
My nephew, Sean, for being adopted so I could make you a card and have the paper left over to make this card.
All those who helped to make this win possible.

Now it's off to start on the card for next week.
