#1 Mom

First off, a Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mothers, Grandmothers, Grams, Grandmas, Nanas, etc. With out you, none of us would be here.  On to the challenge.  This week's challenge at Glitter n Sparkle is "Ribbon".  And is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.  Being a Sassy Studio Designs DT member, I thought I'd make my challenge entry a Mother's Day card in honor of my Mom and all the wonderful Mothers out there.
I made my card a center opening card.  The DP was from a card class I was to teach at a scrapbooking fundraiser for my High School's Band (which my niece is member of the Colorguard). So here's my card.

I decided to weave the 3 colors of ribbon on the front. And I popped up the image on homemade black foam squares.  I added a smaller #1 Mom and some ribbon to the inside of the card.
This was a fun card to make because I knew I was making it for my Mom.

Thanx for looking and please comment and tell your Mom how much she means to you.

Bailey Bunny

Do you know who the Easter Bunny's newest helper is?  It's Bailey at Hambo Stamps.  And he made this week's challenge at the Hambo Hoedown (here) to use "weaving" on your project.  If you play along and use a Hambo stamp on your project, you get the next week's image FREE.

Stuff I Used:
Image-"Bailey Easter" digital image by Hambo Stamps
Colored with Copics
B91, B41, R32, E31, E33, C1, C3, BG15, Y08, RV06
DP-DCWV Prints for the Year Ultimate Stack
Card stock-Prints for the Year Ultimate Stack
Faux stiching-Gelly roll white gel pen

I cut 1/4" strips of the DP and wove them to create the background.  I also used my Fiskars corrugater to create the woven design on the 2 yellow strips.  I popped up Bailey on homemade foam squares. I used one of the sentiments that came with Bailey on the inside. And put a small Bailey bunny inside also.
The layout is based on Split Coast Stampers Wed card sketch #429

Well if Bailey wants to get all those bones dyed in time for Easter, he better get hoppin'.

Thanx for looking and please comment and follow.
Happy Easter.
