It was a quick and fun card.  I had the image colored ( I always color at least 2) from the challenge at the Hambo Hoedown a couple of weeks ago.

#1 Mom

First off, a Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mothers, Grandmothers, Grams, Grandmas, Nanas, etc. With out you, none of us would be here.  On to the challenge.  This week's challenge at Glitter n Sparkle is "Ribbon".  And is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.  Being a Sassy Studio Designs DT member, I thought I'd make my challenge entry a Mother's Day card in honor of my Mom and all the wonderful Mothers out there.
I made my card a center opening card.  The DP was from a card class I was to teach at a scrapbooking fundraiser for my High School's Band (which my niece is member of the Colorguard). So here's my card.

I decided to weave the 3 colors of ribbon on the front. And I popped up the image on homemade black foam squares.  I added a smaller #1 Mom and some ribbon to the inside of the card.

This was a fun card to make because I knew I was making it for my Mom.

Little Mermaid

I made this for the Crafting When We Can challenge "At the Movies". http://craftingwhenwecanchallenges.blogspot.com/. My card is inspired by "the Little Mermaid".

I punched the Shells from gold paper with "Studio g" punch then covered them with Glossy Accents

The background panel was created with the Creatology Spin Art. (yeah like at amusements parks).

I used Adirondack Inks- Citrus, Clover, Sailboat Blue

The gold swirls are Hot off the Press gold "Dazzles".

I popped up the background panel on homemade blue foam squares. And then popped up the image on more foam squares.

Added a teal panel on the inside with a spin art panel and more gold swirls.

This was my first card as a DT at Sassy Studio Designs.

Birthday Suprise

Don't have a melt down. but we've got one hot gift for you.  This week at the Hambo Hoedown, they had a great image called "Hazmat Suit".  And the challenge was to use ORANGE, YELLOW, and AQUA. Great color combo. So I thought "Let's do something different." this week so I made my card a "Double Slider card". I learned how to make the double slider card from a video by Dawn.  Here's the video. And here's my card.
