Steampunk Journal

It's time for a new progressive challenge at Paper Craft Planet Sassy Studio Designs. Have you been playing along with the previous challenges?  If not there's no time like now to start.  This month's image is the terrific Steampunk Amelia and the challenge is to make a "Steampunk" themed project.  If you don't know what Steampunk is, Google it or take a look at this video on YouTube.  It's quite interesting. So I wanted to make something other than a card this time.  This is what I created.

I have gotten into making books and journals lately.  If you are interested in learning how to do it.  Here is a video by SeaLemonDIY.
I used a Wheaties box as my cover. And have 65 folded sheets of grey paper inside.

I covered it with 2 types of "leather-like" paper.

I made the buckles from medium size die cuts folded in half and the centers cut out. I added thin strips of silver for the pins on the buckles.  I popped up the image on homemade tan foam dots.

I am also entering my project in this week's challenge at Paper Make Up Stamps Digi Make Over Challenge #101 (Anything but a Card)
